Frequently Asked Questions

Who are the Tutors?

Our Tutors are members of West Toronto Baptist Church who live in the neighbourhood and have a passion to provide excellent tutoring services to students in the area. All volunteers are well trained and have up to date police checks.

Is there a cost?

Nope, it’s completely free!

Will there be snacks?

Yes, there will be refreshments available for all students and parents. All snacks will be pre-packaged. Please inform us if you have food allergies.

Will there be a space for parents?

There will be a separate space for parents to relax and enjoy a beverage while their children attend tutoring.

Can students arrive and leave tutoring on their own?

For children under the age of 12, parents/guardians are required to pick up their children after tutoring finishes. Children aged 12 and over can leave on their own after tutoring finishes if they have permission from their parents/guardians.

What should my student bring with him/her to tutoring?

We ask that students bring any homework, worksheets, and school work with them to tutoring. This way, we can get a good understanding of what the students are learning in school, and how we can best help them to succeed in school.
